Under the thick brush
smelling the sweet fragrance
the wild flower yields

Beautiful posts Helen - they are truly a tonic to view and read. The haiku is perfection in a nutshell.

Your mother looks so beautiful - only 55? So young. (My father was 48 when he died.)

I'm there in that landscape and I can smell the flowers! It looks hot there too!

The purples of the flowers and the mountains behind- that is such a wonderful picture! Yes, the wildflower does yield, but they are what we bow to as we "smell their sweet fragrance..."
    Just beautiful!

This is a beautiful photo and haiku- sometimes the "sweet fragrance" is hidden under "thick brush."

    Hope you're doing well :)

The haiku and photo are both gorgeous, Helen! Such lovely countryside - reminds me of New Mexico.

Beautiful! I share your feelings about wildflowers and am looking forward to views like this when we retire to New Mexico.
