BREATHING - HAIKU

Since my lungs are getting weaker because of ALS, I sleep with a Bi-Pap machine which helps my lungs exhale.

My breathing is slow
all I get is a thin stream of it
I inhale anyway.

Helen you are the most beautiful and courageous person I have ever met. We haven't know each other long, just three short years, but I know You are the shining star that has given love, hope, and strength to all those whom you have touched, and you are truly an inspiration to me.

May The Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you.

May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

    Love Nona

Haiku is a perfect form of poetry to remind us to count each raindrop - each breath. This is beautiful.

It is hard to know what to say at a time like this. The haiku is marvellous, but my thoughts stray, and go towards your fight.

A positive thought and a prayer is what I offer. They never fail.
