One Last Deep Breath

Helen has lost her battle with ALS. She passed, surrounded by her loving family on May 5th. Her family read her blog so if you would like to leave your condolences I'm sure they will get them. She loved this club and writing haiku. You all supported her by giving her a voice and I know she would have thanked you.
Wrapped in angel wings
soul lifted up to heaven
yellow rose is home
I will miss you Helen!
Love always, Tammy

    To Helen's Family:
I am truly sorry for your profound loss. I will admit that when Jennifer and I began One Deep Breath almost a year ago that neither of us could have anticipated the caring little community of writers that resulted. Through sharing our writings we become involved in other writers lives in the most inexplicable way. We learn to "know" one another despite the physical and geographical boundaries that exist. Please know that Helen gave as much to us through her writings as I hope we did in providing her a place in which to share.
    Most sincerely, Susan of ODB

I have only known Helen's poems for a few, short weeks. She always seemed to have something profound conveyed in so few words. My sympathies to you, her family. May her rose bloom under the eternal light of God...
